In pain
I'm sorry to hear that.
have you tried rolling a bath towel into a long sausage and putting it around you like a belt?
sandra..
Also have you put ice on it to give it some relief. You could have some inflammation. Hugs your way.xx
No It's to cold to do that lol
Hi there. I actually agree with sylvi, and yes its going to be cold lol but you will get relief especially if you follow it with heat application afterwards. ice followed by heat treatment is a great way to shock your back out of pain-spasm cycle. Then theres what we call 'massage' and 'rest'. I know sounds like no brainers but we use our backs all the time and when muscles are strained we need to give them rest and some rub down. Also, maybe you need to reassess your lifestyle, maybe you're overdoing it too much. If it persist though, get it checked. All the best.Liza
tens machine xx
Poor you think the ice thing might help. Sending you pain banishing thoughts !!!!!!!!!! xx
I'm so sorry that you are having a bad day.
I've had Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 8 years and Fibromyalgia for a couple of years.
The relentless pain can really get you down.
I haven't been able to find any pain medication to manage my pain, at most mine just take the edge off. I'm only 42, but I feel like 82 most days. Definitely no 'swinging from the chandeliers' for me, lol.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to go to the GP, get the best pain medications you can, consider anti-depressants as most of us with long-term painful conditions develop depression (it's perfectly normal and nothing shameful) and ask your GP for something that might help getting you to sleep at night. Sleepless nights will increase your body's inflammatory response, increase your pain, restrict mobility and reduce your pain threshold.
I hope you can find something that will relieve your pain. Just know that you are not alone in this.
God Bless you xx
Hiya Man
I am so sorry you are sore. You are having a right time of it aren't you. I am the opposite of the others , the physio always says cold for inflammation a nd hot for pain. But heat helps me the most. So I use heat packs on my back and hot showers and that helps me. I also make sure I keep up with my painkillers cos you need a certain amount in your body to keep the pain down.
Hope it settles quickly,I if not maybe get checked out, mine was inflammation of the tendons but the second load of pain was slipped discs, sorted now, but needed to go to docs. Good luck, hope you feel better soon xxxx
Can you lie on your front instead? I've got a cushioned mat on the floor with a couple of cushions that I use to prop up my front. Then I can read for a bit in that position without any back pain. Can't stay too long though or I get shoulder pain instead! But it does vary things around and sometimes I have my breakfast there.
Try and get someone to give you a massage if not there are a lot of reputable places men can go for this treatment lol. I bought a massage cushion one from ebay it was only about £25 and it is quite comforting and you can use it with or without heat. Hope you feel better soon.
