It seems that so many of us are experiencing low mood and exhaustion in the past couple of weeks, does anyone think there is a link between this unseasonal bitter cold, gloomy weather, the entire country seems to be experiencing and RA. I do!!

Exhaustion & Weather
me too im so exhausted .seing gp saturday, think I NEED to be off work x
Hi Summer,
You just seem to be really struggling at the mo, I do so hope your gp can help in some small way, i know from experience, once things build up too much, it is sooo difficult to get back on an even keel. This is a rotten disease at the best of times, let alone now! Wishing you much better days soon, perhaps a little time off might help. Take good care of yourself.

I too think this cold weather certainty affects the amount of pain experienced by RA suffers, also others with joint disease.
Wouldn't it be good to have a sunshine room at home, so you could top yourself up when feeling blue.
A nice bubble light, some soft music and lots of comfy cushions will need to do then.
Actually bought one with some birthday money, from marks and spencer. Shaped like a owl with lots of embroidered detail on it..... lovely...
Wishing you all a sunshine day tomorrow and a lovely weekend.
Spent most of the day in bed, feeling nauseated and dizzy, sure it must be a virus...
Thankful for a warm home and a comfy bed.

Carole,
Sorry to hear you"re feeling rough too, as you say, thank goodness for warm, cosy homes. On my part, a cuddly leopardskin fleece blanket and hot water bottle in my chair are order of the day. Roll on Summer. Take care.

Yesss I want one tooo! I've been feeling really unwell with flue symptoms on top of the RA . I'm sure 100% that this weather does not help us. A hot bath with radox and arnica makes me feel so much better. ( At least for a couple of hours!)
Off to have my hands and wrists x rayed today.
cyber hugs x
I've just spent 3 days staying with lovely friends who are impervious to the cold - no central heating & their idea of indulgence is lighting 2 bars of their clapped out gas fire - I shivered in bed trying to get my freezing fingers to work so I could text my complaints to my husband. If they read this I will die of shame!

Hi Luce,
actually, I really envy those who do not feel the cold, i have very dear neighbours, who are somewhat similar. It's just that this biting cold, is really bad for my joints, I feel like a poker with no bendy parts!
I am sure your friends welcome was warm enough to help a bit, next time a pair of thermal gloves might be an idea!
Take care and keep warm.
