Hi all I am thinking of asking the NRAS if we can have our own group here in Southport Merseyside. So if any one is interested in this please let me know and if there is enough people then I will look at setting one up. Alanb

Great idea, I'm interested young man, it'll be great to have a group in southport and I can give you a number for a hall when you know what you are doing.

Hi Alan,

Please get in touch with NRAS who will be able to guide you with the process of starting a group. You will also need to have support from your rheumatology unit so they can help signpost patients to you. They will help with advertising the group and give you ideas for speakers.

It could be worth some of you that are interested going to the St. Helen's meeting that is being held on the 23rd May at St. Helen's Town Hall, Room 8, Victoria Square, St. Helen's, WA10 1HP. (Free car park at the back (take the first right off Birchley Street) and disabled access via lift (left of main stairs). 6:30pm – 8:00pm.) This meeting is Dr. Paul Lam’s Tai Chi Demonstration by Paul Mortimore and a U3A group.

I believe St. Helen's is about 20 miles away so I hope that isn't prohibitive for you.

If you would like more specific information about starting a group please email volunteers@nras.org.uk.

Kind regards,

Gill
