Sorry MWNN about your pain. There is nothing worse. I hope you can get some relief somehow. When I ask about my joint pain and muscular too, they don't seem to want to do anything different at the mo for me. Guess it is because I am changing to a biologic soon. The best thing for pain I ever had was Tramadol but they made me weird! Well weirder!! ;-) I have the transdermal patches - Fentanyl 25mcg/hr and Diclofenac and Paracetamols but the Fentanyl seems to do little for the joints, but lessens the soft tissue pain. The Diclofenac ... Helps me move on a morning a bit. I put up with a lot of horrendous pain for years thinking that this was just what you did when you had RA, before they put me on Fentanyl. It was a doctor who prescribed it at the GPs and not my rheumatologist. The GP made the decision as he kept seeing me dragging myself around.

NK ;-)
