I really need this appointment....

Hi everyone i really hope you are having a pain free day, i have my appointment tomorrow with the Multi disciplinary team at Nuffield orthopedic center, where i will be seeing a occupation Therapist a practitioner and a Physiotherapist, I know i am so luck compared to a lot of you on here, But i so need this, I have really gone backwards now as my steroid injections have stopped, i now relies how much this injection was helping me, I have woke up really depressed because of how i am feeling, but then happy to know that i have this to look forward to, I'm really going to put my argument across, I took my 13th weeks of MTX yesterday together with Hyroxy, I worked out that i have been of work now for 8 months from when this all started and it is really getting to me, more so now that i fell that these meds or the amount of meds that i am taking are not working for me,

I haven't felt like this for a long time i woke up over the weekend with even more sore areas, my fingers wrists and my knees are really sore and also again I am sliding my feet across the floor with the stiffness, I have all my question written down so that i don't forget anything, also my sister is coming with me to, we all know that 4 ears are better than 2, I will let you all know how i get on Take Care XXx

I'm really pleased that you have got this appointment today and that the prospect of getting your views across has lifted your spirits.

I can identify with your pain and stiffness, because it was like you were discribing me. Hands, wrists, knees and very stiff feet. I also feel very tired, do you ?

I have no energy or strength and I'd like to just crawl back into bed!! I've been like this for over a week and I was thinking that the cold weather has something to do with it!

Yes i have been feeling a lot more tied to,I don't seem to want to get out of bed in the morning as i know i have to walk with these rotten knees and walk around like a zombie, Thanks for your message will let you know how it goes xx

I went out saturday night to a party and it has floored me ever since. I don't drink and i was sitting down the wholetime so cannot understand why i am like this. Mine this time started three weeks ago when i couldn't walk due the intense pain and burning in my feet and i have not felt well since. I too am seeing my rheumy on wednesday. Hope your appointme3nt goes well.xxxx

I really hope you have a good productive meeting tomorrow and hope it helps. Let us know how you get on. I am still working, just, but most of the time just going through the motions as i so tired & worn out so i can sympathise. Its awful when it gets your knees, ive found the shoulders are a killer!!

so pleased you are seeing one of those multidisciplinary clinics - its the sort of thing they ought to have in every NHS area.

Make sure you describe exactly what difference the steroids made - which bits were relieved, etc. Thats a really good guide to them about how much inflammation you have. I hope they get you started on some other treatment as well this time. Sounds like you definitely need more than what you are on right now.

I suppose in a good way, i am having a bad flare at the right time, so at least they are seeing me at my worse, Thanks, i do feel guilty sometime thou, especially when i know that there is other people that haven't got these chances like me,but i suppose that the NHS for you, Thanks again xx

Hope it went well I was up there myself this week put on injectable mtx and continue with hydroxy and folic. Sadly I have hypertension so take a concoction of meds. We are really lucky in our area with access to such provision. I'm not pain free and the joints were on fire for a few days this week but I think I'm getting some where decided to keep a diary to monitor myself, really bad days, type of pain and swelling etc. it goes hit my mood too, let. me know how you experiences are with them.
