OH mum is home with carers it's not working as she is very confused and doing strange things but my ands are tied , I hope they now see the confusion and see she needs 24 hr care in the next few weeks. My aunt still in the hospice but serene. My brother feeling better after his serious steroid reaction and has been away with his family. I had 3 steroid jabs and feeling better because of them! I saw the neurosurgeons who now discharged me and now the Rheumy said I can start back on my RA drugs and try Humira and had lots of OT help and starting hydrotherapy next month ish...........yeah all very positive. So going to Scotland for alf term and to see my family an auntie, will have no Internet access so have a great week y'all, hugs Axx.

  • Allanah, have a lovely week in scotland and i hope you come lovely and refreshed.xxx

  • Scotland is a wonderful place for a holiday - I'm surprised more folk don't choose to come here, but then I am biased.

Its really amazing how quickly elderly people can become absolutely confused and out of it with a urinary tract infection, and how quickly they can go from being OK to being incredibly ill and almost psychotic with it. Does mean that it needs someone else to keep a watch out and make sure they get help for it asap. My mum just went through the same, and I suspect it was a major contributor to her being so fuzzy-headed that it caused the collapse that broke bones and did a lot of damage. I'd definitely push for any older person to be immediately tested for a UTI if they started getting a bit more confused.

  • We need to be in the same place at the same time....... see you soon. Big hug coming your way.
