drugs!!!

hi all, just thought i would let you know went and seen my doctor today and she asked how things were going etc told her the pain is really getting me down, she thought i was still taking co codemol even though she took me of them!! so im now on tramadol hoping that they wiil do they trick lol michelle

Good luck and I hope they work for you. I really didn't like them and ended up going back on codeine. Tramadol made me far too knocked out for work, and I found I felt quite ill if I didn't take them regularly (like getting withdrawal symptoms). I know they work well for a lot of folk though.

i can't tolerate codiene at all but i was on tramadol and it worked well for the pain -however i've had a fair bit of of breakthrough pain - especially when i'm walking so i'm trying something else. i liked tramadol because it didn't really knock me out or cloud my thinking but some people will get zonked on it so be warned - gabapentin might be worth trying if your doctor is willing to pescribe it for you - its an epilepsy drug but it can work as a painkiller too.
