I saw a really nice idea about having a jar that throughout the year you make a little note of anything nice that has happened and then put that written note into the jar. Then after a year at the next new year you can open it up and read it all to remind you of all the good stuff that has happened.
I've given up everything already, no ciggies, no alcohol, no grapefruit, cakes, etc. new year resolution is to get my rheumy straightened out, withdraw diagnosis of lupus and confirm anti tnfs can continue. Oh yes and help to make this a better world, not one where children are killed at school either by mad gunmen or remote controlled drones. Peace to all
If I made a New Year resolution would it be realistic? I don't want to give something up but add something to my routine...
After going to aquafit this morning at 8.30 am, I'm wondering if I could actually get up on autopilot in the morning and get to the swimming pool every morning between 7.30 and 8.30 when there is public swimming before the schools hog it.
I always feel so much better after I have been, but to get there even for a 8.30am start means getting up at 6.30 as it takes me so long to get dressed even in the swimming costume and track suit. I would have to get up even earlier to do it regularly but the swimming pool is only five minutes away and free for me.
I do some other exercise later in the day - dancing Wednesday and Friday, walking gently weekends, Thursday and sometimes Monday, as well as the yoga daily, but nothing makes me feel as good as the exercise in the pool.
But I hate setting myself up to "try" to do something. It's really dispointing if you don't achieve what you have set yourself.
What about all of you others - what about adding something?
