Can anyone recommend a website or company that supply... - NRAS
Can anyone recommend a website or company that supply kitchen utensils for those of us with fat, swollen and painful hands and fingers? :(
Your local Adult services can carry out an assessment of need and refer you to an OT who can sort these out for you.
your rheumy department should refer you to an ot and they will be able to either supply some of the items you need free or advise somewhere local for you to buy them.
Take care

If you don't have access to OT service (we don't have one where I am) then you can try lakeland.co.uk who sell the OXO Good Grips range. These are nice, but not the cheapest so if you google you'll find other suppliers for 'fat' forks and so on that could be less.
I got refered to OT dept by the physio and they got me some scissors and some aids for opening jars and a gadget for opening ring pull cans worth a try
Bless your heart...Ask your doc to refer you to an Occupational therapist...my hands, fingers, and wrists have been really bad the last few days...I guess the change in the weather...it's been difficult to sleep...something that helps me and this is not anything a professional has reccommended..lol..but i wrap my hands tight with ace bandages when they hurt me at night....and it helps!!! Not so tight it will cause swelling...but snug enough that it helps ... my hands feel like they are twisting on the inside....Bless all of you that are struggling with this disease...
in the mean time check out OXO.com to see if they have anything that would help.
Will do and thankyou
