As a newbie and have done a blog with not a lot of info , sorry .
I am at present on morphine mst , with parasetamol ,as back up .
Have been taking Hydroxchloriquine for more years than i can remeber , never sure if it works but live in hope . was on Methatrexate until recently when put on Leflunomide seemed to help but it makes me itch on my arms . also Celecoxib .Had infusion of Iflxiamib four years ago , did not work . Then on Humira did not work after a year of self injecting . ( Loverly brusies on tum though )
Was due to have the Rhufliximib six months ago but could not put in the canular after 8 attempts . (HAve to say am on warfrin ). But my consultant wants me to try again , but if it not work , looks like I will have to just live with it . But finding side effects from some of these drugs seem to be more with every change . But not differance in my pain or swelling . . Shall i do this as a last attempt

Hi pottypam. I am surprised you are still on Hydroxychlorquine after many years. The leaflet that comes with it clearly states if it is not working you should come off it after 6 months. Speak to your consultant about it. If you don't think it is helping, what's the point of taking ity.
you don't say why you are warfarin - have you had a blood clot or something?
Why did they take you off the methotrexate as it usually works for most people.
You could ask about enbrel as I was taken off Humira as that didn't work for me and put onto Enbrel.
I think you need to have a long talk with your consultant. Lavendar Lady x
I think am still on the Hydrox as it also helps in the prevention getting diabetes and type two is a family thing .
I am on Warfrin due to a Saddle Pulmonry Embolis as a result of chemo and as it was nearly fatal did not have any more . which delayed my hip op by 18 months .I then had a second multi PE a year later which delayed second hip op , but now on Warfrin for life and it plays havoc with all my meds . Was taken off Methatrexate when they put me on leflunomide but think i was better on the meth . But it a case of do I sort out my meds without the new infusion or shall take this last risk for aome relief .
My consultant is even doing the infusion himself to make sure they can get it in.
Hi Pottypam. What a time you have had over the years. do speak to your consultant about trying one of the other anti tnfs. MTX can also be given by injection which seems to cut down the side effects as well. How that will work when you are on warfarin I am not sure although the injection goes under the skin rather than deeply in. If your consultant is happy for you to have this other infusion, go with it - it may just suit you.
