I suffer exactly the same, I am sure is the drugs Methotrexate that is the cause of my sweats. You could try purchasing a pillow from chillpillow.co.uk. I was recommended one when having. Chemotherapy.
Yes I get the night sweats John too, I think its the inflammation still rumbling away. I did buy a pillow too that makes me less hot and a lighter duvet, but my OH has to have an extra cover and gets very upset with my constant tossing and turning so that before a big day or meeting at work he will take himself off to the spare room! I know that sounds awful but really its just sensible! And at least you can rule out menopause!
Aching gums I too can understand as I get them badly and pain in my jaw and saw an oral surgeon who said the joint in my jaw showed some inflammation but luckily no bone damage, and he thinks when i get to sleep as i have been sore I am grinding or biting down hard during the night, causing the pain. He gave me a gum shield but i found i felt bad with this in as my husband is already moving rooms lol!! But worth a visit to the dentist maybe in case there is some gum inflammation maybe?
Also when are u due to see your rheumy, possibly if it is the RA grumbling away in your Knees and ankles you need a review of your drugs do you think?
Hope you get more rest soon and feel better as the day goes on,
Hi Minka I have had these awful nightsweats . Through trial & error I found Sage tablets helpful. You can get them from any health food shops. They take a couple of weeks to become effective. Also water put in the fridge , sprayed on yourself really cools you down.( a fine spray of course) Hope this helps a bit. Take care.xx
THANKS FOLKS I THOUGHT IT WAS ONLY ME WITH THE NIGHT SWEATS BED USED TO BE WET THROUGH AND WAKE ME UP. WIFES MOVED NEXT DOOR BEDROOM I WAKE UP AND CAN FEEL THE SWEAT COMMING OUT OF ME.
DIDNT KNOW IF IT WAS THE PARACETOMOL OR WHAT
Woops sorry I got that comment all wrong cut a chunk out by mistake so it didn't make any sense! I don't know about the sweats but I have read that there are strong links between oray hygiene and RA. It usually comes up somewhere pretty quickly so if you google RA and gum disease you'll see what I mean. It maybe time to see your dentist? Tilda x
hi i have just bought two very simular pillows from cooper a internet store were you get a catolouge for £9.99 they are very good, this is the price for two
