I think I lost my brain too somewhere...

Is it normal to feel a bit 'foggy' ? Cognitively I feel like I retain less information and find concentation difficult. Is it because I am so very tired or something else?!! Even the kids have begun to groan in unison when I ask for confirmation or repetition!!!

goes with ra and meds used.. more common.. if you have fibromyalgia too. think the stress of the illness itself causes a lot of memory/ concentration issues too

Yes. This was a big problem for me. I had brain fog for a long time after I started the Mx. I also started taking Anti-depressants again and they they you feel groggy at first. I couldn;t concentrate or focus on what I was doing and could retain information. I had to give up trying too hard in the end. I was forgetting important things. So I had to tell everyone not to rely on me doing anything around the house or with paperwork etc. It took me days and days to the VAT and had to keep re-checking my work and going over it. It drove me mad! I also think that at first you wake up and straight away think "right how to I feel and you spend most of the time wondering what this pain is or that ache is, and is that worse or better (well I did). But this has got better with time, thank goodness.

Oh yes, it was definitely the Mtx for me too - although it doesn't always have that effect with me. However, if I'm tired and stressed or flaring anyway, then I'm worse the day or so after I've taken my Mtx! I have done some REALLY dumb things on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! I do think the fatigue is part of it too though, so if you can manage, somehow, to get enough rest and pace yourself, I think that might help!
