Well the day has arrived, my first treatment day. I have to be at hospital for 9 , I’m a little nervous I must say but I know I have to have it, not looking forward to the long day ahead.

Take care and enjoy the sunshine

I am sure you’ll be very well looked after. Just take something to read or listen to/ear buds etc., as it is a long day. Good luck. 🩷

Thanks, unfortunately I hit problems, my oxygen levels and blood pressure kept dropping so I only managed 750ml . They were concerned as I have fluid around my lungs and heart and concerned it was constricting so need to be careful incase I get more breathless. Hopefully next time should be easier as they’ll know better how to manage me.

Thanks

Yes I had a similar problem with my first dose and it was stopped near the end as my temperature rose. Tbh I still claim that my earbuds had caused this as temperature was taken in the ear just after I’d been using them! I felt completely fine and the second dose 2 weeks later was completed with no problems- and didn’t use my earbuds!

That does sound about right mind, what a carry on. So glad you had your second dose without problems. I feel fine today and they did say as long as I don’t end up in A & E then the next dose will be easier with the extra 250 added on , it’s just the extra fluid with me already having fluid around my organs.

Take care

Yes I’m sure your second dose will go fine - mine was quicker too, despite having the full dose!

Bless you a bit of a worry when things don’t go as planned. I ended up on half doses. Hope the next one goes ok. x
