First off the infusion has done nothing to ease the pain i am suffering from. I got down there and was first in and they had trouble getting the vein, they got the hole made and couldn't go any further with it,so they had to use a another vein and was successful this time. The machine kept making noises so the dr put some through the canula with an injection and found it worked that way so he reset the machine and told me to keep my hand still in one position which i did and it seemed to work. Anyway i couldn't get comfy at all the whole time i was there, they laid me down for a while then put a pillow behind my back which helped but not a lot. Last time i had this done i felt a difference before i even got off the bed, this time i have felt no difference at all. To add insult to injury i caught my left leg in my scooter on the knob and have a very swollen and bruised foot to boot. I was hope by just after noon and still i couldn't feel a difference. I did as i was told and rested all day. I went up to bed and watched the tv and brooded all evening. By 10pm i was sobbing in my hubbys arms and boy did i sob. Then i slept. I got up yesterday morning determined to not let it get me down and continue to fight this health issue. I then went off to a photography show which distracted me somewhat and spent a lot of money on a new lens which i used when i got home. I am in a lot of pain again today so i am going to get in to see my gp if i can.xxxx
Failed infusion.......: First off the infusion has done... - NRAS
Failed infusion.......
Sorry to hear that infusion failed. I had a couple of these few years ago but they never really helped my back pain, but side effect was putting my blood pressure up to dangerously high level so I can never have them again. Meanwhile the crippling pain continues. Xxx
It is endless isn't it and it really pulls you down. I am going to the drs this evening to see what the next step is.xxxxx
Sylvi , I'm so sorry that it doesn't seem to have made a difference, especially since you were so hopeful and had to wait so long.
I really wish that they manage to get the next step right for you and that you're afforded some relief from the pain you suffer .
Marie
Oh sylvi I am so sorry that this didnt provide you with the much sought after relief you were hoping for .
Its so disappointing when you have had such high hopes for something and it just doesnt do the trick.
See your GP this evening and I sincerely hope that he/ she can point you in the right direction for what happens next.
Take care.

So sorry this has not helped the pain . Does it usually have an immediate effect with you in the past ?
You poor darling 🙁 Do go to the doctor and let him know xxx
Oh dear Silvi I was hoping this wouldn't happen to you. My sister had something similar a couple of years ago, she doesn't have RA, but worn discs, it worked wonders, when she needed another last year it didn't work and she was so disappointed. At the moment she isn't too bad, it seems to flare up for a while and then calms down. I do hope your GP can suggest something else. X
Really sorry to read this Sylvi. Hope the gp was able to help x
So sorry it didn't work Sylvi. I hope you start to feel better soon. It is a cruel disease.
My gp is going to write to the surgeon taking care of me to see what the next step is.xxxxx
Oh bless you Sylvie. You had such high hopes and had to wait so long for the infusion. Is there no improvement at all?
Let's hope your GP has something positive planned for your next step
