If it comes your way the Mars Exhibition that is in Rochester Cathedral till the 8 March is great. It's easy to park with a Blue Badge and it makes one see how tiny man is compared to this giant planet. It's been made from NASA making so imake a note to see it if you can. In Rochester it's impossible to visit without a trawl round the antique shops and the Fudge shop. So we came how after cafe society pavement coffee in the sunshine with a tired but happy granddaughter.
It's so odd how a trip out like this made me feel so much better. I woke up tired but could not let her down so made the effort and the reward of the small face gazing up at this structure was lovely. They had a quiz for children and it was very welcome as I could sit down while she and my husband did another circuit looking for Venus. ! All in all it's warm here today and despite an early frost the early daffodils are in bloom and the primroses look great. So fruit tree nursery this week to order a quince tree and might even get a few more Iris's as mine look a bit sparse this year. I hope its warm where you are and roll on Summer holidays.

Sounds lovely and would love to visit. Unfortunately it's to far for me to drive. I now suffer from osteoporosis and myelopathy. Make sure you have a rest.
That’s the first time I’ve seen the word myelopathy on here. I was diagnosed with this three years ago and it doesn’t seem to be well known. It affects my life in such a big way, as well as RA 🙄🙄
I thought I would mention it to see if any body else had it. Am having an operation for it in just under 2 weeks. The only group I've found are on Facebook. No medical organisation has started anything, that I can find. I have no idea which area is causing the majority of the pain. I have been told that the operation won't cure pain!! 🥴
Ooh I wish I could see that! It's a bit too far away. I'm doing a big oil on canvas space scene as a gift for a friend. It has mars, earth and the moon on it.
It’s going round the Country but I think only Cathedral’s have the room for it. It does spin too so you can see all the planet. I wish I was artistic it must be so satisfying to be creative, we took loads of photo’s as the detail is incredible. We saw the Moon and also the doves they had which was great but really impressive was the huge table from bog oak. It’s a great way to use these ancient buildings as our ancestors might understand because the acoustics are great when the concerts are on. X
Oh wow, that sounds really interesting. Did they have a massive mars suspended? They had the moon like that in Lincoln cathedral. I’m glad you all enjoyed it and had a great day. I lived in frindsbury for 5 years while I was at university and graduated in Rochester cathedral, which was amazing! Happy memories 😁😁😁
Yes the same type of thing and they’ve got a concert of mars music too. The Cathedral is so beautiful. We are going again tonight as it’s lit up red but it’s too late for the granddaughter who’s got school tomorrow. Congratulations and I bet it was truly amazing to graduate from the Cathedral and did you visit the fudge shop? Xx
I did see this on the bbc news last week. I may go this weekend. Is there queues to get in?, that’s my only concern as I’m still on crutches from foot surgery, and standing us agonising, as I’m still off my immunosuppressants. However, hubby has always loved astronomy and I’m sure he’d love to see this. Hope you are well, and recovered from your day 🤗
I'm ok just got a cold there is parking back of the shops, or if you go round the back a tiny disabled car park off Boley Hill by the pub or opposite by the castle. No queues but check on times as it finishes this weekend. I think it moves on, on the 6 March so please check. But they've evening shows too. You can cut through from the shops car park, via an alley to the Cathedral entrance at the side. Good chips too in the High Street ! lol xxx
And the Fudge shop is amazing. I've sent photo's of fudge to my son who is skiing. Your husband could drop you off outside then park but cafe is shut Sundays which is a shame as the food is good. xx
