methotrexate : I suffer sometimes with my sinuses is it... - NRAS
methotrexate

No that is too many…..Max 8 in 24 hrs. Just because you can buy capsules over the counter doesn’t mean you can take as many as you like. Do Read the Information in them.
Try Sterimar Breathe Easy…it is 100% natural & my ENT surgeon advises it over all the chemical sprays.
Ask your rheumy team about any supplements you take…..if they think you need any, they will prescribe them.
I asked the pharmacist about the sinus tablets he said fine as long as not on blood pressure tablets but I have some sterimar so I will start using that every morning are you taking methotrexate
Not now,…I took it very successfully for about 7/8 years, but unfortunately it just stopped working for me.
It suited me well…..my RA was very well controlled…but like a lot of good meds it stopped being effective .
What are you taking now
You must stop asking that question. I think have explained before many of the drugs I have taken have not suited me and I will never ever take again, but I read here of many people who have been on those same drugs for years very successfully
Try making maingb a note every time you experience a new symptom & give your rheumy nurse a ring & ask her go to have a word with your Rheumatologist ……then wait until you see what yourvRheumatologistdecides which will be the better drug for you..
I know you get anxious…but taking a firm step & speaking to your rheumy team ..keeping your notes on how things are going by your side , and trying to get some wise advise from the professionals really will help.
With RA it can take a long time to get on the right track…so please try to be more relaxed …sadly you can,t always hurry it up, & here in theUK we do have to wait a while….but you will get there soon.
Hi again Dexter, I replied to you on another thread re RA meds with fewest side effects. (It wasn’t a med recommendation btw but saying how the rheumy usually prescribes the level of RA meds.)
Can you jot down your questions you’d like to ask and email to the rheumy nurse, or have a chat with her on the phone? We are not supposed to give advice on medications on here, at the request of the NRAS admins. We should not recommend any additional meds. We don’t know a person’s allergies or other health issues. We do say if an RA med was successful or not, but that’s different.
I hope you can get the professional advice you are wanting. It is so hard I do know when you are new to RA.
my gp had a hissy fit when I told them how often I had to use decongestants and prescribed a nasal spray.
