this picture is old and grainy but I found it recently. Mums miniature Schnauzer and the family tortoise were never close but I do wonder what they were each thinking on this occasion …..

edit: and with the picture this time

That's really cute, it looks like the dog is waiting for the tortoise to kick the ball back! ☺️

What a lovely pic! I wonder if the sweet looking dog was wondering if the tortoise was a type of ball. He might have been tempted to pick it up & run with it. My family had a tortoise yrs ago. It kept ‘running’ off to the nuns nearby. I’ve read alot of people used to put them away to hibernate & forgot where they put it! Tortoises are sweet. (When they stick their heads out). Funny little faces.

This one is over 80 now and hibernates in a tea chest filled with straw in the garage, she emerges early spring and likes a warm paddle and nip of gin to bring her round.

🤣 who doesn’t like a nip of gin to bring them round??

Oh that’s lovely. My son in NZ has a miniature schnauzer and he is just the sweetest little dog - he stands and looks at things exactly the same way, it’s amazing really.
