Sorry I don’t have Rinvoq experience or of taking Saxenda. Hard when an RA med puts weight on you. I know someone who was looking at Saxenda and was told by a nurse she had to have doctor approval/be prescribed them and you usually need a BMI of a certain level to get them on the NHS. She also discovered they were £45-50 an injection if you get a private script. She was told you need to take them every day for 12 weeks so the cost and duration put her off and she upped her exercise and changed her eating habits.

I’m on Rinvoq and my weight stays the same, if anything I have lost a bit of weight but I thought it was because the oral steroids are out of my system. Think Rinvoq is the best drug I’ve had and that’s saying something as I’ve had over 10

hi Iv been on oral steroid since February and starting rinvoq in the next 4 weeks. Im hoping that I can loose the moon face when I come of the steroids Iv gone from 9 stone to 11 and it’s getting me down. Knowing you haven’t gained weight gives me hope. Did you have much side effects from the tablets and also how long did they take to start working.

the tablets started working immediately. I as able to come off the oral steroids and so my moon face went and I got back to normal. It has helped me a lot considering how I was before, and I think being off the steroids helped my weight remain static (I have never been thin, and with shielding from covid and steroids that didn’t help). I started a YouTube channel as part of my personal therapy so I can talk about this disease and what I go through. It may be of interest to you.

thank you for your reply. Well with out my steroids I can’t move. Being 32 that’s a struggle as I have no life. So I’m hoping these meds work a lot better than the steroid did you have much side effects. I’m praying I go back to my 9 stone not 11 xx
