crazy stuff

My last infusion of symphoni ariva was early September. I developed an abscess tooth from a blotched root canal. That ordeal in itself is another ongoing story…

My post is… all of the immune suppression drugs are out of my system now. ( waiting for oral surgery) . I’m using 800 mg ibuprofen and prednisone when I get to hurting. My mouth issues I have posted about and my dry eye has seemed to of disappeared this week. Praise Be!!

I take 300 mg of Gabapentin at night to sleep and not wake up with something hurting and disruptions of sleep.

I just thought I’d give an update. My horrible pain is in my hands, feet and hips if the current regime of meds will continue to help til I get this tooth out and healed I will be thankful.!

Hi Nana8, I was surprised to see your post as I also have problem with a root canal I had about 15 yrs ago. I had been having pain in right side of my face. Long story sort I had been to,Dentist twice over 12 months had a new filling in other tooth etc. I assumed pain was part of my Lupus/Sjogrens but it kept re occurring. Eventually had X Rays which showed infection and referred to periodontist she confirmed infection and returning to her in January to have Root canal cleaned out /removed. The pain was in my face and neck and I was taking Paracetamol which helped with pain but they make me very dizzy and hard on stomach. I asked first time infection was diagnosed. There was no word on how they were going to clear the infection. I thought they would have given me antibiotics to see would it clear up infection like any other infection. Will have to decide soon what to do as so far it has cost me €400 plus January will cost another €1,200.

Hope you have a lovely healthy Christmas 🎅🏻

I worked chairside for eons with dentists and orthodontists. Many have said they would never get a root canal due to the inability to clean out all the bacteria and decay due to it migrating to other cells within the bloodstream. Even the most competent endodontist makes every attempt to flush the root out before inserting the gutta percha. A dead tooth is the only body part not removed totally via surgery when it goes awry. Many dentist recommend for themselves, extract the tooth and get a bridge. Problem solved and no reoccurrence on a problem.
