Hello, can anyone tell me how long it could take for this to kick in (had it in my backside) because I understood from the rheumy nurse that it is usually about 24 hours. I am so glad thay gave me one (my first ever) but am desperate to feel relief.
Thanks, Julie.

When I have had a depomedrone injection I usually wake up in the morning afterwards feeling like a new person. No stiffness or fatigue and fairly hyper. I get so excited at feeling like me again that I can't sleep the night following the injection!
Thank you - I wish the same for you too! I have felt worse than usual this evening but here's to a better day for us both, in fact for us all, tomorrow.
Thanks for the advice. I wasn't told to rest - they knew I was going to work. I have had lazy evenings though and am no better at all this morning. I feel really upset and deserate to get some relief. Do you think there is still a chance it will kick in?
hi ive had several depo injections. the time to kick in seems to vary though they always tell me 24-48 hrs. it has been as quick as the following morning but its never been longer than 24 hrs . dont know if this is just peculiar to me but after the injection until it kicks in i always seem to be in even more pain. its as though everything starts aching as it moves round my body. could just be me im a bit of an oddball
Hi Scouser, thank you for that - I intend ringing on Monday if I get no relief. Wonder what else they can do though?
Pinkdee, thank you too. This sounds exactly the way I have been - certainly feel rougher. It hasn't been 48 hours yet so I still may have a chance. I'm trying to be positive!
The other thing could be how much they've given you - I gather it comes in different strengths or perhaps amounts, so maybe you just haven't been given enough?
Hi Caroline and Pinkdee. No sore bottom but I feel no better at all. Have you seen any improvement pain-wise Caroline? I don't imagine so if your hand is still swollen. I really hoped for some improvement but I can't see it happening now as it's more than 48 hours.
Hi Pinkdee, sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days. I have to say that I have had some relief and am so thankful for that! I'm still tired but not as tired as I was and my thumbs are painful at times (think there's something else going on there) but my wrists have definitely improved. Thanks for asking and I hope you are ok too.
