I have an appt with hygienist and dentist after, every 6 months.
Unfortunately every time my wisdom teeth become painful, area swells , and I develop laryngitis. It's difficult to know what I can do to prevent this each time, as it seems to be the physical disturbance to my teeth while cleaning.
Anyone else get this?

You need to see a dentist but in the meantime have you tried rinsing with Corsodyl (the medicated one, not the daily mouthwash)? My gums get irritated by my sharp teeth and I get blood-filled bullae in my throat. The Corsodyl usually settles things down.
note my diagnosis is Stills Disease made in 1979 aged 17 now 62 and major drug free. However I have been told by every dentist I’ve seen since then that I must take antibiotics when I have a clean or treatment. For years I did bug then moved and decided not to mention the Stills disease….., many cleans later ..,, no problems even though Stills causes constant sore throats
