Hi everyone

just wanted to say thank you to everyone who replied to my post. I have had a long conversation with the pharmacist at my GP practice and have decided to go ahead and take them.

I am also making adjustments to my diet and excercise and I hope all will help. Fingers crossed that side effects aren't too bad!

Thanks for all you helpful replies.

Good for you , I hope you don’t get any side effects as no doubt about it they help many many people. I just don’t fall into a risk group yet so deferred. I can always change my mind and might well do sometime in the future. X

Please be sure to post a follow-up in six weeks, including name of statin, dosage, and whether you are experiencing side effects. I'm sure a lot of us are in the same boat, on the fence regarding whether to take these drugs that it seems everyone is advised to take.

Hi,I take statins - Atorvastatin. I'm on Methotrexate (via injection), Sulphasalazine and Tocilizumab. I had to stop everything, due to some medical interventions, for 4 months. My cholesterol shot back up! I'm back on everything now, so I'm hoping all is back to normal readings now 🤞 I don't have any side effects from the statins.
