I was diagnosed in July 2015. My inflammation at the time was 85. CCPA 300. It took nearly a year to reduce inflammation because I did not respond well to steroids. I am also allergic to Naproxen.
I let my body do the correcting with the help of Zeljanz and Rinvoq. There is always pain but blood levels have been stable for years. Is this typical?

I was finally diagnosed in 2004, after several years of pain, diagnosed by my then gp, as growing pains! Since then I haven’t had even one pain free day, I’ve been on lots of medications. Now I’m on 15mg of methotrexate, folic acid, 7.5mg of steroids daily, and my third biologic, Cimzia, every 10 days. I also take cocodomol daily.
Isn't that remission and if so why would you need pain relief? I'm on Benapli and AZA and all NSAIDS are totally forbidden. So I'm grateful and very glad. x
Hi, my bloods have shown a fairly low crp for a little while but I still have pain and stiffness and fatigue of course. I have times when the pain's worse than others so I assume I'm still having flares just not quite as red and swollen as before. My consultant suggested I might have fibromyalgia but I'm not at all sure about that. It's definitely the same joints that used to become hot and swollen that I still have pain and stiffness in. Have you mentioned your problems to your Rheumy team? X
