struggling to get through to PIP but I’ve had an extra payment go in my account 2 weeks after my payment date. No letter. Was assessed a year ago so not that. Anyone else had this happen?

Hopefully good news I'm a carer ,and the person we care for has had this a few times

Could be anything though

Some are

Your assessment had a change

Or if your on universal or esa your entitled to more money with being on pip

That's just a few

Can take a while to come through

You usually get the letter upto 4 weeks after payment

If any of above you maybe no if it's a decent amount

The person we care for was 2 big amounts just appeared in bank account

I’m not on universal or esa. My assessment was a year ago & I was moved from enhanced to standard for mobility. not a big amount. So confused.

You should have a mandatory appeal. You need to ask for one. They normally agree with the assessors descion wich is a joke. It was a nurse that assessed me not a doctor and I was under two consultants and got 2 points. Went to a tribunal but it was stopped before it went to court and I got full mobility and daily living. I was crying at times as they make it as horrible as possible. All I can say is persevere. I got a ten year PIP award. The assessors are the problem. Have someone witness what they ask. He was putting words in my mouth. Good luck.

You can’t do mr a year after the award though.

If you're condition gets worse you can call them and report it to them? I can't advise from there as I haven't been in that position. Good luck though x

My son has PIP. He has had cost of living payments periodically. Could it be that? You usually get a text or letter about it though

I would write a letter. I have done this in the past when can't get through on the phone. It could be a mistake. A friend had this happen recently. Make sure to include your National Insurance number, name and address. Keep a copy of it, so that you know what you said.
