good old NHS🙄

you may remember I had a hip problem started in January. After getting nowhere with the NHS let alone treatment I went private and following an mri which showed massive swelling in the synovial. Then had an ultrasound cortisone shot in it which sorted it. So I saw my nhs rheumy consult privately to get all this done. He said I would need a three month follow up for the flare I was having which showed up in my bloods and which caused this and he would see me at the NHS clinic. So that was in early May. After several emails to the hospital asking about this three month follow up I got my appointment through today.

18th November!!! Hey ho🙄. Suppose I should count myself lucky I could afford the grand it cost me to get the treatment otherwise the damage it would have done I’d have needed hip replacement. Maybe a three year wait for one of them?

Hello Retiredtech28, Unfortunately that's how the NHS is nowadays, hope the ensuing treatment meets your need and you will continue to feel better. Good luck in November. Every best wish

hello Im curious about your symptons re your diagnosis and steroid injection, Ive had back issues for long time, nerve entrapments etc, but as of June 24 this year started with groin and hip pain, severe at times, have had MRI on back and both hips, finally have appointment with an orthopaedic dr on sept 11th, for results and d diagnosis, and maybe discuss cortisone injection, and coincidently, since that groin pain started up, body joints hurting a lot, hands etc can hardly move in mornings, I do have osteoarthritis, bit these pains have kicked in more severe in last couple mos
