I'm considering getting some CBD oil to help with RA joint pain. Do you have any experience with CBD good or bad, with reference to our condition. Any recommendations etc. Thanks

CBD ?
I have always shied away from using this as i don't know how it would interact with my drugs.xxx
You should speak to your Rheumy team. If you are on any prescribed meds it is always wise to take professional clinical advice before chancing adding anything.
If you look back a few years on this site…there were discussions on the subject, but I don’t recall any posts claiming mega successes.
I used the balm on Shingles site on my back. It didn’t work and within minutes I could taste it. It was vile but I passed to a friend with backache and she said it worked.
I’ve tried a number of different mixes from CBD Brotjers in Spain. I tried paste, oils, different strengths, one with the illegal bit in 😂😂. It may just be me, but they didn’t make a scrap of difference and I persevered with each for a few months. Holland and Barrett and similar are hopeless as it’s such a low dosage that it’s pointless. Find a reputable company and see if it works for you as many people swear by it.
I tried the oil but it makes my acid reflux a lot worse. I do use 5kind extra strong hemp cream from Amazon on my osteoarthritis and I must say it does help. You only need a little bit. When I first went to see a rheumatologist I told her and she said that was ok BUT I was being put on MTX then. I'm now on biologics so I'm going to check again with her at the end of September when I see her. I'm using it now and again now for my knees and it seems to help. But I'm going to see what she says next time I go. Always best to ask id say.
'Which' consumer organisation did tests on commercial preparations on sale claiming to contain CBD. The amounts contained were very variable and one (very expensive) product contained none. Unfortunately there is no regulation of this field and you are paying for a lot for advertising and hope ....

I took the oral CBD pills hoping for relief. It just shot my liver enzymes thru the roof. I have a Crem I use regardless and it helps some.
I tried it briefly and carefully, but in my case it seemed to just intensify the pain (I respond similarly to opiods). Possibly just me, or maybe I wasn’t trying it in the best manner, but it’s difficult to find really good guidance in this.
Hi there, I've been using the CBD muscle & joint gel 500mg which gives me some relief for my severe pain. It was recommended by my local pharmacist. I also take the methotrexate injection. I did mention this to my Rheumatologist and he didn't say not to use it!
