So sorry you didn't receive a referral. Is this what they said they were going to do today? It's such hard work getting appointments. I hope you also sort something out this week given your hip problems too. x

Hopefully you may be lucky. I was referred to foot surgeon end of October last year, seen him mid December, and had surgery start of February. I’m now due to have further surgery in September. Don’t lose hope 🤗

I recently discussed guided steroid with my nurse, she said currently in our area the wait is 6-12 months!

I’m unsure on waiting time here in North Cambridgeshire but last year I had several ‘scopes’ with less than two months waiting time and a fast track cancer investigation within 3 weeks of instigation so that doesn’t seem too bad. Although they were all organised by my GP without a face to face appointment and based purely on symptoms and blood tests that warned of cancer. None was found and Stills disease as a cause was laughed off however my research has revealed it could indeed be the source. I’m back to self management which basically means pain killers, splints , rest and fitting life around what I can manage. It’s a bit miserable but I’m in a better position than many here so can’t complain . I can tell you they said no more than 3 steroid injections per year with no guarantee they would work and that I should consider surgery as an option in the future when it’s worse.
