So following on from recent posts about shortage of clickjets and being offered infusion until sorted - today I've received my first 3 dates for infusions starting on .............. 20 August which means almost another 2 months of continual pain and stiffness - but hey be grateful for small mercies I guess 🙃🙃

Ongoing Abatacept Saga
Gosh that’s a long wait 🙁 ask if they can give you some other pain relief in the meantime.
🤨 That’s a long time to wait. Is this for the nurse to visit you or for you to go to your hospital? I’m sorry to hear of the delay. I’d think with so many Abatacept patients needing to swap from sub-cut to infusions at the mo that it’s why your med is delayed as there’s a big demand on the nurses Lloyds deploy. I wish I could wave a magic wand for you. x
Thanks Neonkittie17 - I tried the magic wand approach but without too much success😎😁The infusions are to be done at the day case unit in the main hospital when they start - trying to hang on to my sense of humour but it is running low
I hear you. 🙁 I just got rid of a rare migraine which lasted 2 weeks whilst waiting to hear what they were going to do with me re Abatacept. It’s really frustrating and I’ve had the same experience before re waiting to start meds and I went downhill and in bed unable to move. As Otto said I hope you have got some pain relief from them to try tide you over. I’m glad you have been given the go ahead though as I know patients are not being offered it for the time being. Thinking of you.
EDIT: just saw this post again and wanted to add I mean that people looking to change their biologic med are are not being offered Abatacept atm until the sub cut shortage is sorted out.
