does anyone have a suggestion for wrist supports to help me put weight on my hand and wrists to get out of a wheelchair.
There are so many online I don’t know how to choose.

I’d refer yourself for physio as they can advise you on ways to help you get out of your chair plus exercises if needed. They may think you need wrists supports and can either provide you with them or tell you which ones to get. We can’t tell you that as we are not qualified and you really don’t want to take strangers advice , who don’t know you or your physical condition as you may cause yourself damage.
I was referred to occupational therapy and was fitted for splints. Very good too.
I have splints for my hands but they do not make them anymore . I can get the NHS ones at ctesso medical supports on line or KSA limited 73, Over stone Road , Northampton NN1 3JW (01604) 622886 But there are many others on line who actually supply NHS style splints . Mine are Thumb & wrist supports .
I use these but often take the metal splints out. I also sometimes just wrap stretchy support round wrist as these interfere with everyday life, hand washing etc. When I was formally assessed NHS gave me similar but OT told me they were not good quality and we browsed together on line.

Hello there , I would suggest you contact your GP first about this. But please see my reply to Jackie 1947 below for details of how to get them yourself on line. I wear them for wrist and thumb support and it does make it easier to push up. I have also used private physio for feet & hands as KittyJ says they may supply or suggest where to go . The larger chemists might be able to help too. Best wishes.
The poster posts from the USA.
I suggest that you ask for a referral to Occupational Therapy. They make them specially for individual people.
The rheumatology department gave me splints with the metal inside. I ordered new ones from temu and found them to good x
Some hospitals have departments not only for rheumatology where they have a supply of different splints, some small, medium or large. Some hospitals will make you a pair to fit.My rheumatology dept once asked me to go to the occupational therapy dept and say I had been sent by the rheumatologist. They gave me some to try on there and there. I remember settling for a pair which were the best of a poor fitting lot for my hands. Later I was in boots and tried on a pair which I then bought which were perfect for me. As we all have different shaped hands, you would be lucky to find a a pair to fit well. Probably the best option would to be to have the hospital make one to measure for you, if your hospital does this.
