So, here I am laying on my bed writing this because I can't put any weight on my ankle. I was just walking normally and all of a sudden I had shooting pain and could not put any weight on my foot because my ankle was so sore with shooting pain. This has happened a few times before but it has never lasted for more than an hour or so. Today is different. I haven't been able to walk all day. Has anyone else experienced this?

Just walking normal and ankle suddenly has shooting pain.
No but i suggest you get it looked at by the dr.xxxx
it could be inflammation of the tendons this can cause tears this happened to me . I would contact your clinic sooner rather than later especially with Christmas coming. Good luck
Years ago I had my ankle just swell up and very painful but I had a steroid jab and lots of ice which resolved it. Could ice help and a call to GP ?
I had this only in the hip. I couldn't walk for a couple of weeks. No one was interested, not the GP nor the rheumy. It was during lockdown so I couldn't even get to the ED. Eventually I had an MRI six months later and they said see, nothing to see here, there's nothing wrong. What were you complaining about you stupid women. (my interpretation of their denial of a problem)
So I would try to get to see someone sooner rather than later especially if it has happened before. Otherwise there may be nothing to see on imagining and you won't know why it keeps happening.
I would call 111. It an emergency because you can not weight bear.
