Wondering if this had happened to anyone else and what they did.
I had a bit of a day yesterday and suddenly realised I had not done my weekly Benepali injection on my normal Wednesday evening. So I ended up doing it 12 hours late on Thursday morning.
Does it matter if I still stick to my Wednesday evening schedule or should I move it on to Thursday in future?
Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do?
Thanks

We can’t advise you on that, you should ask your rheumy but yes I forget to take mine sometimes, I just miss that dose and take as usual the next week. I don’t flare unless I miss two so rather than change days injecting I choose to miss it.
Thank you KittyJ. I do appreciate I can't get advice on here but just wondered what others do. (I would also be lucky to get a rheumy response in time!)
According to the patient leaflet, “if you forget a dose you should inject as soon as you remember, unless your next scheduled dose is the next day. Then continue to inject the medicine on your usual day.”
Seeing as we are always being told to hold off from our injections if we are having surgery/procedures, or have infections or have Covid etc etc. missing your jab and taking it 12 hours later will make no difference.
I’ve been injecting Enbrel then Benepali for 7/8 years now and in that time have had occasions where deliveries have been chaotic. I’ve had operations, I’ve had chest infections and Covid three times and antiviral infusions and travelled all over the world and adjusted my jabs to suit the trip so I don’t have to worry about temperatures and cool packs for example.
Say I was going abroad for 9 days on a Monday and my usual jab schedule was on a Saturday. I would take my jab two days late on the Monday I went away and then would take my next on the Tuesday I got back and then carry on as Tuesday as my regular day.
This has stood me in good stead but you would have to make it work for your situation and individual health needs.
Seeing as most rheumatology departments here in the UK are running clinics with extended lead times. Missing a dose is not necessarily something I personally would bother them with.
All the above is said with the benefit of long term use and experience so good luck and I’m sure you will be fine.
This is just what I do, but if it’s within 24 hours I just take it and carry on as normal. Been doing that for a long time - not that I forget very often it’s more that it’s not convenient.
