Post just wrote a longish post and lost it

It's so infuriating when that happens - one false move and it's gone!!! It's happened to me a few times but more on replies than posts and unfortunately, I don't think there is a way to get it back, unless someone else know any different. 😖

Tbh I don,t think you can…what are you using? I sometimes lose a post on my iPad & so far have never been able to retrieve it…now if I’m rabitting on a bit…I save it just in case…that way you can retrieve it ,& paste it back.

sorry once it’s gone it’s gone, so annoying when you’ve spent all that time doing it 😔 it’s happened to me before too, I don’t know why.

Unfortunately once it’s gone it’s gone. After that’s happened I try to remember to write my post in Notes then copy it over - trouble with that is I forget and go back to writing replies normally then one day I lose them again. It’s very annoying.

if you know it is going to be a long post, then best bet is to write it out in another app such as notes or word or something. Then copy and paste it. Whenever I need to do this on any website it is always safer as you can easily accidentally go back a page etc
