I'm just wondering if anyone has tried one of these? I'm usually very skeptical about anything advertised on TV. š if it sounds too good it likely is. However, my legs are awful and my ankles permanently swollen so I'm at the point of I'd give anything a go.
Revitive Machine : I'm just wondering if anyone has... - NRAS
Revitive Machine
I donāt think Revititivev claims any cures does itā¦just that instead of physically exercisingā¦you sit still & your muscles are jiggled aroundā¦.improving blood flowā¦.which for some will help mobility.
Unless I didnāt āgetā the video?,
My 97 year old father ordered himself something similar unbeknownst to me and unfortunately regretted it as the only thing it did was jiggle up and down with his feet planted on it!
I suppose it could have had some beneficial effect if he really couldnāt have got up and walked about or pumped his feet up and down but it seemed a tad expensive at Ā£200 for a few minutes of ensuring he got his moneyās worthā¦ā¦..
I looked at the reviews which of course are all glowingly positive and I guess for some this works but as you pointed out, some things are too good to be true and for my dad this was one of them. Itās since been consigned to a charity shop - but he can walk about and does so if you really canāt maybe give it a try and it may help. Thereāll be other posters along soon who may have found good relief with it. Best of luck.
I've had my Revitive for years and use it frequently. I feel it works well when my ankles are swollen. It certainly gives the lower leg muscles a good workout. I would certainly recommend giving it a try.
Thanks, just wondering do you walk as well or use it instead. I'm able to walk between one and three miles each day with my dogs so I'm thinking now it might be no better than that??
See my previous reply re my dad but honestly, if you can walk between 1 and 3 miles a day Iād put the money youāve saved from buying this gadget towards a good pair of walking shoes! š
I borrowed one from a friend who had given up using it. Trial period of 3 weeks didn't convince me to buy one. Like you I walk my dog every day and also use an exercise bike albeit slowly. These things suit some butnot all
Yeah I bought one and I really suffer with swollen ankles. My knees are badly affected by RA and it made them 100 times worse even on the lowest setting and for half the recommended time. I sent it back. It did absolutely nothing for my swollen ankles either. I did give it a fair trial but I wouldnāt buy one again just added to my issues and the pain was unbearable.
if you can physically walk then really itās a lot if money to waste, I sold mine& so did my sister
Thanks everyone. š„°
I think you have to be careful about these things. They don't really seem to do much and cost a lot of money. This is what I do if sitting down too long. I place both feet flat on the carpet, raise the toes on one foot and raise the heel on the other foot and alternately change at the same time. Keep it going for a few minutes then you can repeat it anytime you sit down. This is quite a good workout and costs nothing. Of course not everyone will be able to do this but if you can it keeps your circulation moving.
Iāve just posted about my experience of a similar but less expensive brand. Currently Ā£99 on Amazon. They do not merely ājiggleā the legs, they provide an electrical stimulus to the muscles, which in turn increases circulation. I am active on my feet all day in my work, and only in my mid 50s. I have found this to be absolutely brilliant in relieving and reducing painful swollen ankles and heavy legs (I have RA and have also had a past DVT). Not suitable if you have a pacemaker though. I keep plugged in under my sofa and use almost daily now. The technology is i believe the same as used in TENS pain relief. It comes with extra attachments to use as TENS elsewhere on body but Iāve not felt the need to use this additionally. It needs to be used regularly to feel the benefits. Hope this helps
