Hi thereI was on Amgevita from May last year until December. I got diagnosed with stage 1A breast cancer. At this stage I had to stop the Amgevita.
After surgery and radiation I'm ready to go back on treatment. My Rheumatologist suggested weaning me off the Rheumalef (leuflonomide) and putting me on Ristova, a biologic infusion, twice annually.
I initially had misgivings with Amgevita and for me, it caused me more pain than relief.
I have tried to research Ristova and I believe it is also an anti cancer treatment as well.
Just wondering if anyone has been or is on Ristova. I will appreciate your personal thoughts on this treatment.
And also if it impacted negatively or not on your kidney function.
I have been diagnosed with CKD as well for many years now.
Thanks for your support!

The active ingredient of Ristova is Rituximab….it is used n cancer treatment but at a much higher dose.
I too had breast cancer…..I was then on Mtx…..but after that stopped working I was put on Rtx & have only good things to say about it.I have been on it for 7 years & after starting on 2 infusions 6 monthly ……I have now moved to just 1 infusion & I just lasted 15 months between infusions.
If you do decide to go,on it,I hope you are as successful.
Never had biological meds and wary of those. Methotrexate was also a cancer medication. I think any medication if not monitored closely can have an impact upon organs. Good luck !
