Thanks for all your replies. The nurse I saw today is going to put it forward that I go on biologics as I’m not getting anywhere with the other DMARDS and I have tried them all now, unfortunately my consultant is not in until tomorrow. My score came out high after inspecting my hands, wrists etc and she is going to arrange an injection asap to tide me over, my doctor can do it if I can get an appointment??
I’m feeling somewhat relieved and she was very positive about the biologics. I had the blood tests today needed to start biologic’s to get me ahead in the process.
One thing is for sure I can’t go on like this, I’ve been living in pain for a year now and just feel exhausted with it. I’d cross my fingers if I could 😂 but it’s too painful.

I've just replied to your previous post but also just seen your update. Glad you're making process and hopefully the previous link I posted is useful. Hopefully the injection can tide you over until the biologics start to kick in and look forward to hearing your progress.
Hi Akaka. I'm glad to hear you're relieved about your appointment with the nurse today and that you are being put forward for a biologic - I hope you get on really well with that and don't have to wait too long. Hopefully, once you've had the steroid injection you will find some relief so I hope you can get an appointment with your doctor for that soon.
Thats great news. Before I started my biologic, I'd got to the point where I was struggling to manage my personal care. Its given me my life back. That was 9 years ago and I'm still doing well. I can't remember how long it took to start working but Im sure it was quick. I hope they find the right one for you first time.Wishing you all the best🤗
