Quick question, I'm on biologics, have been for 7 years now with great results!
For the last 2 years I have had to change jobs, I now work for myself in a canine hydrotherapy centre! It's amazing for my joints but every 45 mins I'm going from 30 degree water to prob about 16 in my centre!
I used to get a cold every 18 months but now it's continuous, 1 per month just over winter but it drives me mad!! What can I take to keep them at bay, as im hearing all sorts of things we are not allowed to take on biologics as they boost out immune system, and biologics keep it low on purpose?? Any ideas would be great and Il report back with the results!! Bleeding winter, I just hate it!!
Thanks, Ant

I seem to keep posting this. That colds and flu are spread mainly by contact, not by aerosol-infection through the air. In other words, be paranoid about what you touch: door-handles/computer keyboards/telephones/and heaven forbid you share cups without .thorough washing tem first. Sneezes etc contaminate all such surfaces and of course if someone sneezes in your face, I guess that counts as contact!! I would strongly advise you to carry one of those hantiseptic hand-gels whenever you go to public places! It is possible to reduce the risk a lot if you are both careful and thorough.
Take vit D spray once a day. There's been lots of research to say it keeps the common cold away. And it works for me! My white blood cells have been so low that hospital worried about sepsis- but with bit D didn't even get a sniffle. X
If you do get a cold, putting Vicks vapour rub on your feet overnight seems to help dry things up. I tried this a couple of weeks ago when I had a dreadful drippy nose, and it was gone the next morning. It may have been coincidence, but hey, it’s worth a try!
The normal immune system should be boosted,if you want to keep some kind of control on viruses. If you don't take care of the vit and mineral deficiencies caused by the disease and the meds you do in fact give the disease more fuel. There is something that needs to be clarified not only for patients but for doctors as well(?)!
I’ve become so paranoid about being around people with the sniffles and colds. Especially kids. So if I am around people I make sure I don’t touch my face. Bugs are transferred by nose and mouth so you could wipe your nose after touching someone’s hand and bingo, bugs transferred. I tend to wash my hands more and also I drink all water with a fizzy vitamin C and zinc tablet in it.
