Benepali skin rash

Hey guys..I am happy to join this community and share with you..Unfortunately I am suffering of arthritis for more then 10 years..

I am on Benepali for a 5 weeks now and Sulfasalazine..Metrotrexate didn’t work for me..I am very happy with Benepali ..not even one inflammation comparing to what I was having 2-3 joints affected daily..But I have some face and neck rashes little itchy but I am not happy to stop my Benepali..will this stop after some times? Anyone got this skin reaction?Thank you

I have only been on Benepali for 2 weeks and also hope that it will dampen down the inflammation. As yet I have had no side effects but I tend to get skin rashes very easiIy. I would discuss it with the benepali nurse or pharmacist over the phone but see your GP if it gets worse. You are due blood tests before twelve weeks on benepali which should show up any issues. exactly..my blood test results will be tomorrow so hopefully will show any wrong..but Benepali really it’s amazing for me ..hope for you too! thanks

I would suggest you contact either your GP or hospital. I've been on it for 12 months but no rash

Hello, I also had a skin rash. It looked like a hundred insect bites and was very itchy. It was localised to my face and neck. I was told to take piriton before my injection and the following day. I did this for four weeks and then it stopped. The benepali is working very well for controlling my inflammation. So although I would recommend this, I do suggest you contact the drug provider or your RA team to discuss this side effect.

I’ve been on benepali for 6yrs with no ill effects. I did get a large localised reaction at the injection site 3 months in and was advised to take an antihistamine. After a few months it resolved and didn’t need to continue. I would contact your rheumatologist to inform him of the rash, and check it’s safe to continue.

Hi, I had a little itchiness in the injection area, but nothing too serious. It went after a few weeks. I would report skin rashes to rheumy nurse or doctor. Good luck!
