Sorry for repeat of a familiar question but I cannot find any recent answers. Who is offering less horrific prices than others? RA and COPD

Really annoying as stable but can't risk not disclosing.

Thank you

Have you Googled looking for travel insurance companies specialising in travellers with health conditions?

I think Money Supermarket have a list of such companies. …& I believe the Post office do such insurance too.

I agree I found them very reasonable, especially as I also have adrenal insufficiency where any stress can result in an adrenal crisis, and requiring emergency treatment, as well as a severe stroke which adds to the cost. They were very reasonable and not as many medical questions as many others have. They also had a chat online where you could ask anything whilst filling out the online form.

Marks and spencer travel insurance came out best for us . Both me and hub have declaratory conditions. You dont have to go with a company that specialises in medical conditions, we found them to give quotes that were way way above price wise but had the same cover levels 🙂

Staysure and Allclear. I’ve used both and most recently Staysure for annual insurance covering three trips, including a trip to Iceland and Norway and a month in Dutch Antilles. I am taking mtx, biologics and ramipiril. No surgeries and no hospital visits.

I also got a quote for a 78 day cruise around South America and Antarctica. It includes USA because of the Caribbean stops. Staysure came out at £580. Aviva etc…well over £1000

I use Avanti. Used to use Staysure for years but on the one occasion I had to claim for a cancelled holiday due to my husband having a sudden near fatal stroke they put me through the wringer so I wouldn't go near Staysure again. They did apologise but the damage was done.

I opened a Nationwide Flexi account because it has family mobile phone insurance, road recovery and travel insurance; it costs £13/month. I called them to say that I have RA and told them what meds I'm on. There were a few other questions, and after that I paid a one off extra fee. I'm not, in anyway, pushing this account, but it suits me. I usually put a little extra in each month, and have now accumulated a little bit in there for a rainy day 😊
