for those that helped me regarding dosage, wanted to let you know finally

Got in touch with my doctor, wasn’t easy given I am out of country for two months,

Anyway, explained that from reading and researching I felt that one 200 mg of hydroxychloroquine a week would not be adequate for my condition and received an email back indicating that I was not taking it properly and it should be 400 mg per day and on Sunday just 200. I showed her exactly what was written on the prescription bottle and though I did not get any apology, she said she would contact the pharmacy to straighten things out. I certainly hope this knew dosage works for me, I don’t want to go onto. Methotrexate

I’m so pleased that 🤞you have got the dose sorted and that once you are taking the recommended dose you feel some benefit. Xx

Thankyou. How do you know if the disease is in remission, does the swelling go down or are there other signs? Tks

You will know! If your inflammation is under control the swelling goes down, the pain is less or even goes, the fatigue is better and you feel more normal. But remission is when you feel like that without medication. Most of us aim for control with medication.
