Hi all ! I was wondering if anyone is on Cosentyx? I will be starting in the next couple of weeks afer being on benepali for 3 years and it's not really doing it's job anymore. How has Cosentyx worked for you ? I'd love to hear your opinions. I know everyone takes to certain drugs differently but just nervous to try something new ! Thanks 😊

if you put that (or Secukinumab) into the search box and filter for NRAS then all the posts about it will come up 😊

I am on COSENTYX have been for about 16 months. No noticeable side effects 🤞, it is not an immediate fix. It gradually has worked, they said give it 3 months to see if it has an effect. I had the dose increased after 9 months and I am definitely much improved. The benefit seems to continue to improve with time. I hope it works for you 🤞😘

I’ve been on cosentyx since 2020 and while it does a reasonable to good job I have had a lot of infections (throat and urinary mainly), I ended up in hospital last year with a severe chest infection gone bad. I also get regular oral thrush which is not something I’d had before. I had also been on benepali and it had stopped working so cosentyx is definitely better for me although I was feeling wonderful on enbril until they swapped me as benepali is cheaper 😕

well, switching you off a drug because of the expense is really upsetting!

Hey there ! I've taken the 4th loading dose today but I have been struggling so much the last few weeks I ended up getting a steroid injection to try and help me through. Parts of me that hadn't hurt for a long time all came back again which was really upsetting. The nurse told me that a 4 month wait to see any type of results is needed so 3 months to go I suppose! Do you also have Psoriasis or just the arthritis?

I have psoriatic like arthritis with no psoriasis. I am still feeling worse than before I took it. Do you have the psoriasis?

So sorry to hear this it's really unfair isn't it. We want these biologics to just get on with it ! I have psoriasis too and it's pretty bad at the moment, I am never usually upset about it but I am at the moment so I'm hoping this actually helps with both. Keep me updated if you notice any difference soon x
