Have you seen anyone about it? Try a bag of frozen peas on it.

My GP gives me Ketaprofen cream to rub in too.

Physios tell you to do knee excercises to strengthen the muscles around the knee. You can find some on the NHS page on line.

Hopefully once the drugs kick in that will ease. Are your knees swollen and squishy? As if there is fluid inside? If so you could ask if it would be suitable for them to be aspirated and a dose of steroids injected.

I use knee supports when mine are bad, often just for a hour or two in the morning till I get going, best ones I got out of Lidl but all the chemists have them..and Amazon. I'll try to get you the brand later as some roll down of my fat thighs and are a pain. Physix or neeca and a copper one of Amazon worked.

Recently I also paid private to go to a podiatrist who made me insoles. I'm six months waiting on the NHS referral. Definitely think they helped me walk straighter so less pressure on my knees.

See a physio and a podiatrist. I had excruciating knee pain. Doc gave me stronger and stronger painkillers, MRI scan inconclusive. New orthotics and exercises changed my life!

Hi Moulinr. I struggle with my knees as well, like Vonnie I go for a bag of frozen peas a few times a day to keep the swelling down, and then Ketoprofen or Ibuleve Max gel a couple of times a day.

I’m interested to read your post about knee pain……I have been in a lot of pain since around September time. I saw a physio at my drs practice who advised orthotic insoles which I got (2 different kinds) but they have not helped much. I eventually made an appointment for a private consultation & was told it was MCL injury & it would get btr eventually, but at the moment it is very painful when I twist or bend my knee. I have also spent a fortune on knee braces, rubs, sprays & pain relieving meds. Can anyone give me some advice 😊😊

Good Morning, I hope you had a good Christmas Day. I too suggest a pack of frozen peas.....I always keep a small cheap pack and then re freeze after use. Have you tried a tens machine I am not sure if it will work but they are not expensive and can be useful? Orthotics - a blessing. I have a little man not too far away and he hand makes my leather ones....expensive when you first choose a good podiatrist but an investment in you. S
