Off to Wrightington

Update, Prof Watts lovely man, really puts me at my ease, anyway went for my Xray, no cartilage left and more bone growth on the elbow. I can leave it, have it injected or go for replacement, I've said yes to surgery but I'm thinking if I try and adapt what I do, use my scooter more often etc. The damage is done now but I have about 8months to wait.

Hi all, not been on properly in a long while but I do check in occasionally. Well off to Wrightington today with my left elbow to see what happens going forward. It's getting much worse, after right elbow replacement 3 years ago, I transferred my walking aids to my left hand and it's definitely impacted on it. Even putting my fork into food causes so much pain, doesn't help when the wrists are getting inflamed again. Ah well, I'm remaining positive ☺️Ps cataract surgery under GA next week, I have very small eyes apparently and if op takes longer they don't want me anxious 👀

Hope all goes well for you today at your appointment. Make sure you get there with time to spare if going by car as the parking situation (especially for Blue Badge holders) hasn't been good at all of late.

We've arrived and it's a dreadful situation for parking, I think we're parked in a staff space but the guy who was going out told us to xx

I've updated my original post with what's going on re elbow. My cataract surgery is not going ahead next week now, anaesthetist not available. It's now going ahead on the 11th January, day after my Birthday 🎂

Blood and sand! Is there only one anaesthetist in the hospital? That's a frankly a pathetic response. I'd be livid! However, it's not too long a wait so a happy birthday on the 10th and new vision on the 11th 🤞😀

Oh I know, 5 days to go as well, I was psyching myself up for it too but like you say not long to wait and thankyou 😊
