just back from my physio swim session where new hair dryers have been installed in the changing rooms and posh new bins. Both items are activated by push buttons and in the instance of the hair dryer the button requires continued depression to operate. Needless to say stiff, sore, swollen thumbs cannot operate either item. This trend in hair dryers may be motivated by energy saving but I do wish people would think about those of us who can’t push/hold buttons down and perhaps provide at least one ‘normal ‘ one. Monday moan done!

I so agree. It goes with very low toilet seats ( two hip replacements and stiff knees) and push flushes in toilets which require the kind of punch which should knock out a strong man and I just can’t do those either!
This is really helpful for people to be aware of.
Ditto. If I can't flush the loo without pain, then I don't do it.
Not my problem...it is the only way I can manage.
I had to send a clock radio back recently because I couldn’t turn it on or off..
i hope you have told the establishment! Especiailly if it’s a physio swim session this is daft!
