I was on Baricitnib (Jak) no side effects and worked quickly. Now diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis as well while doing a great job for RA it’s not helping with PsA. So changing to Humira. I too was an TnF but had side effects. I know humira is a TnF just hoping I don’t have the same problem

I am on Rinvoq, after no success &/ or extreme side effects with other RA drugs. It really helped the pain, so I can sleep somewhat better. I still have terrible fatigue & anxiety.

Good morning, nice not to see the sun,the sooner they put mor research in to FATIGUE the better, to me its the worse of side effects of R A.

Yes, the RA fatigue is awful. Can you share any ideas on how to reduce it, other than exercise?

I did really brilliantly on Baricitinib for just under three years. I ‘ve had everything else during my 33 years of RA and this was the easiest to take, not a side effect in sight and worked within two days. It switched off though after I had Covid in February. Now on Tocilizumab which I don’t like nearly as much for the side effects and would happily have stayed on the JAK. Lots of others do well on them. Good luck with whatever you go onto but I’d def give it a go.

I will tell you all my story at age 40 i was diagnosed with R A.Before 2 years i started with Enbrel after 13 years doing pretty well flares once a year i devolped cancer and lung fibrosis was in hospital for 2 years. There i stopped Enbrel during quimo and rays .2015 went backTO ENBREL and 4 month later neumonia one month intensive care but managed to be alive. There again rehumy decided to put me in 4 mg of prednisone 2017 developed shingles and remained in hospital for 2 month came out with my right arm paralized and with neurphatic pain until now.Have gone on all meds for neurophatic pain that kills me and i managed after seeking what for this terrible pain i jumped in to li docaine patches 5 percent of course they come from abroad and this is the only thing that more a less keeps .me going. When Covid started after all i had gone through i decided i wouldnt get the vaccines as i dont go out only my husbund does the shopping.Ok 2020 ok end of 2021 31 of deecember summer here in Argentina mu husbund caught covid omicron he had 2 shots for covid but caught it at supermarrket or who knows.OfF course my doc inmeidetly send me for test i was positive without any vaccine.I was on antibiotic for 7 days i had a scan done and doctors waNted me to leave me in hospital witch i ran away as i have oxigene and pratically a hospital at home so i signed and left.Stopped enbrel .7 days went by and 7 of january 2022 after antibiotic started to spit blood caufing i thought this was the end but my doc gave me 6 days of dexametasone high dose and solvedAGAIN STILL ALIVEIn marc h affter all antibiotiics and meds for covid staRted again with Enbrel. Now its going to be 3 month i have an infection in one tip of my middle finger had byopsy done everything negative but no doc knows what it is or causing it.SAW MY REHUMYS AND NOW THEY WILL CHANGE ENBREL FOR JAK OR IN TERLUQINAS DONT KNOW HOW YOU SPELL IT IN INGLISH.I HAVE CONSULTED DR CALABRESE CLEVELAND CLINIC BUT STILL WAITING FOR FINAL BYOPSY OF FINGER WENT THREW 4

JAKs are the most effective meds I've had for RA, with little in the way of side effects.

You are a very brave person and obviously really determined to live your life in a positive way. I wish you all success with whatever drug your rheumatologist recommends for you now. As mentioned in a previous post, you might find it helpful to download NRAS booklet about all the different drugs available.
