Humming in ears

I have had 6 doses of Amgevita and have developed a humming in my ears. Has anyone else experienced this? I will contact GP and specialist nurse tomorrow.

It sounds like you’ve developed tinnitus. . ( which I have). You need to post on the tinnitus NRAS site for more information and help .

It's useful to include the generic name for any biosimilar that you're asking about - adalimumab in this instance - as any side effects are likely to be common to that group.

I can't see any specific mention of tinnitus as a side effect, but it's a common complaint anyway, so might not be related. However, adalimumab is associated with an increase in the amount of mucous produced in the nose area, so it might be blocking up your Eustachian tubes, increasing the pressure in your middle ear. I find steam inhalations and doing the yoga Lion pose (opening my mouth wide and sticking out my tongue - do it in private!) helps when my Eustachian tubes are blocked up.

BBC Morning Live today talked about tinnitus as a side effect of Covid. They mentioned lots of things to try to combat it.
