Good evening

I tested positive for covid on 23rd March 2022. Was quite rough with flu like symptoms. Tested negative 7 days later. Went back to work. 1st day back. I couldn't get my breath and chest pains..scary. attempted 2nd day...same reaction so went to a and e. They queried PE and or chest infection. 2 days later. Still same symptoms. Chest scan..no PE but also found a heart murmur!!. Could this all be related to covid. I'm quite unwell and scared

Any thought??

Maybe, maybe not! Really think you need to get medical advice about this.

Covid seems to ‘attack’ any parts of you that are ‘weak’. Hope the results of your investigations make things clearer for you.

Sounds like you are doing what you can to get medical advice and this will guide the next steps. All you can do is keep yourself as well as you can in the meantime by taking care and finding one or two things you can enjoy doing.Sending best wishes.

If it's any consolation quite a few people have had 'odd' symptoms even after becoming negative on testing - a continuing cough, or palpitations, or short of breath, or dyfunctional gut, etc. This virus attacks all parts of your body and can really upset it - but also I have heard from people whose frightening symptoms disappeared before they coudl be investigated, so they never found out what they were...Don't try to be normal while you're feeing like this. Cosset yourself and await enlightenment from your medical team...and you should be off sick too until you have completely recovered in yourself, not just as measured by a negative Lateral Flow Test.
