I used to get a lot of hand cramps I now mainly get leg cramps. Up magnesium with bananas or supplements if allowed , if you can and stretching! I find I have to rub it out and I know hard when in hands but it’s working the cramp point I personally find helps me.
I agree with Deeb1764 that adding magnesium to your diet or as a supplement should help. The other thing is drinking tonic water at bedtime, true tonic water not the cheap supermarket ones. It needs to contain quinine which is great for cramp, and is actually prescribed in medicinal form by gps
I have found eating Marmite helps to prevent me from getting cramp - I don't know why but it does. Perhaps it's a placebo response or something in the Marmite, but I thought I'd pass it on! Of course, not everyone likes Marmite...
Perhaps it's the salt content?
Probably.. marmite on toast and a sweet cup of tea is marvellous as a hangover cure 🤭.
I think I would be getting back into the Rheumatologist - perhaps with photos/video that you can show them to demonstrate? Doesn't sound good at all.
Yeah magnesium can help . I have Epsom salts bath and absorb it through the skin .
