So doorbell rang and a nice chap with a box about 1 metre by 1 metre stood there. I said "yes thats me but what the b----y hell is in that box" I asked was he from HAH and yes he was. But how was I going to get the box in our domestic fridge ???? we'd have no room for food !!. I asked could he open the box as I expected a couple of small boxes. He couldn't as not allowed too, but suggested I did. I did and was only worried about taking delivery of something I couldn't store until we bought an American sized fridge which I dislike as being more of a fashion statement than a useful object and my fridge is integral so would I have to have a kitchen refit ? My mind was on overdrive what the hell had I been prescribed?? Anyway I opened the huge box and in it was one month of Orencia , 2 boxes of swabs, a pot of cotton wool and the most glossy brochure I've ever seen. I kid you not my husband said ''. So don't moan about anymore Amazon boxes ". I'm still in shock and the delivery driver was in stitches. lol
Big Boxes and not from Amazon !: So doorbell rang and a... - NRAS
Big Boxes and not from Amazon !
Well at least you have your medicines, safe and sound !What a waste of packaging.
😂😂😂
I get the same with my Cimzia delivery- massive box, for 2 small boxes if meds. They have to be kept cold but I'm sure they could find a more environmentally friendly way of doing it.
I had the same reaction a huge box and I was so excited like a kid at Christmas but oh no....just a box of orencia and a lovely book to read. Least I fell 😴 happy lol x
🤣 🤣 My husband panicked when my first delivery of Adalimumab arrived a couple of months ago - two massive boxes. One containing two little boxes with two pens each, the other a sharp‘s bin that is so big my five year old fits in it and for which I still haven’t found a good place it‘s so huge 😝
Glad you have your meds and they don‘t mean you have to live off tinned goods!!xx
Yes and my granddaughter can use it as a toy box as its substantial and we can cover it with her to make a nice storage box. Oh yes tinned food ! that takes me back to before freezers I'd forgotten how nice tinned corned beef is and luncheon meat, not to mention Fray Bentos pies. Might have to add them on the next shopping list. lol xxx
Waitrose used to do the best tinned Spinach…just heat it up & plonk it in a baked potato…smother with Parmesan….,et voila….a lovely snack! But they stopped selling it as there was “no call” for it!
So it’s back to the steamer & the fresh stuff ….dammit!
And I still reckon tinned sweet corn is tastier than frozen!
Yes I know they add “stuff” to the tin…but it is still nicer!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Maybe somebody could explain the meaning of the word economy to NHS Accountants?Designer brochures ? One A4 page would probably do it, plus the swabs?
I think most people can afford the pennies cotton wool costs?
Has your designer American fridge got a glass door?
They look so lovely…in the “glossy brochure”…but living with one?
I’m far too untidy.,
Thought it was a climate aware coffin. My friend ordered one -Just In Case ………. So much for brass handles.
My friend had an environmentally friend wicker one and it cost twice the wooden one. My mum when asked as she paid for her funeral some 20 years before she died of old age in 2014 said she wanted the cheapest and no limo's for relatives as we all had cars. When she died her £750 investment was worth £7500 and they'd made a mistake and we had the limo's which I refused as she was right we had cars. Made me chuckle they might have though poor old girl couldn't afford much in reality her will made it clear she was no fool. lol x
How wonderful that she was able to be so practical. Sending a prayer for your dear mum and friend.
My mum even booked the Co op as she got stamps and they went towards a new telly. We went from the undertaker to the shop. My mum was great fun and when we all got married we had to walk to church as it was just down the lane and over the green so saving them a lot on cars. She left some wonderful and wacky memories. xx
I have been having discussions about going on to adalimumab and the same day I had a letter from western distribution about extra support in case of electricity failure in relation to my late husband’s needs very serendipitous in view of my own possible needs
