Keeping Tocilizumab (and insulin, and food!) cool in a powercut

I seem to have accidentally joined NRAS when I was trying to respond to a question that appeared on my PMRGCAUK feed. Someone was asking how to store Tocilizumab during a prolonged power cut.

I have stored my supply of Ro -Actemra in a coolbox in the boot of my car (along with food items that also needed to be kept chilled) because the temperature outside the house was as cool as my fridge.

You can get those frozen blocks, if they’re ready to use in a cool box there’s refrigeration for a while especially when it’s cold outside anyway. Is anyone old enough to remember meat and dairy safes? My grandmother had one outside north facing kitchen
