Got up from the settee last night and had a really bad dizzy spell which lasted for an hour and came in waves of shaking and extreme panic and unable to walk for fear of falling down. Settled down and feel normal this morning. Phoned for ambulance then cancelled when I felt better. Tested positive for Covid 10 days ago with no symptoms any ideas anyone?

Extreme Dizziness and shaking.
Hi Cazdud. I would ring NHS 111 for advice as it may be something to do with Covid, failing that, contact your GP. Good luck and I hope all will be well.
We're unable to I'm afraid, in essence it's a medical question. I'd do as springcross has said & ring 111, they can advise if it's Covid related, or something else entirely, & what you're best doing re seeking medical help. I hope it was a one off as you're feeling ok this morning. Don't think you're bothering them because you do feel better, they'd rather you'd report it in case of a similar reaction.
I had the same minus covid. It was an inner ear infection. Speak to your GP for antibiotics 🌺👏
Agree with Ajax above, Try to get to see a GP on Monday. My Mum has those symptoms with Low blood pressure but equally the same with a high temperature so it’s important a medical professional checks you over. Specifically because you had the positive Covid result recently.Keep hydrated, all the best

Morning. I would phone your GP first thing Monday and have an ‘urgent’ appointment. I used to get like that. Just rest today and don’t do anything. It may be low blood pressure, but best to check out properly. Lie on the sofa or stay in bed. Take care x
Definitely phone 111 if you have further episodes for advice. Could be an inner ear infection, vertigo, or many other issues. Are you on steroids, as you can develop adrenal insufficiency which causes similar, but usually also nausea as well.
Hi I had really bad nausea and dizziness with covid so much so I ended up one day on the bathroom floor for about an hour. Two of my colleagues also had this with it. The thing that helps is prochlorpromazine or stemetil it's used for vertigo. It took three weeks for me to recover hope your ok soon
Not necessarily fine, I had a massive stroke due to adrenal insufficiency and having a crisis whilst raking 4mg of prednisolone. Obviously I was t aware it was my cortisol as it wasn’t discovered till I had the stroke, and I was diagnosed 3 weeks later with severe adrenal insufficiency. My main symptoms were nausea, weight loss, no appetite, dizzy and lightheaded. My blood pressure had severe postural hypotension. My GP initially put it all down to an ENT issue, but ENT couldn’t find anything. I suspected cortisol and asked for referral to endocrinologist. My 1st appointment was 3 weeks after the stroke. If you have an infection or illness you can have low cortisol symptoms even taking 10mg of prednisolone.
If you haven't already, please do ring 111 or make an appointment with the GP
